- Attorney General Peter C. Harvey today
announced that the “It’s-4-U-NJ”
program which provides free information,
support and counseling services to New
Jersey residents still impacted or affected
by post-9/11 events is now listed on
the State of New Jersey Web Page at
www.4UNJ911.org.
The “It’s-4-U-NJ”
statewide counseling and support program
is sponsored by the Attorney General’s
Division
of Criminal Justice and the University
of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey’s
University Behavioral HealthCare.
The “It’s-4-U-NJ”
Web Page highlights an up-to-date calendar
of events listing free community-based
seminars and programs for New Jersey
residents seeking assistance, along
with a listing of resources available
for individuals experiencing post-9/11
stress, frequently asked questions (FAQ’s),
and links to organizations in place
to assist primary and secondary 9/11
victims.
The “It’s-4-U-NJ”
program has established the “It’’s-4-U-NJ”
Hotline - 1-866-4-U-NJ-9-11
(1-866-486-5911), staffed
by clinicians and 9/11 survivor peers,
to provide information, support, and
crisis intervention to all callers.
In addition, “It’s-4-U-NJ”
provides community group counseling
sessions in convenient and easily accessible
locations in seven counties particularly
hard-hit by the events of 9/11 -- Bergen,
Essex, Hudson, Morris, Monmouth, Ocean,
Passaic and Union counties.
Since its inception in September, the
“It’s-4-U-NJ” Hotline
has received more than 850 phone calls.
The Web site has had more than 280 hits.
